What Do You Think?
I give military personnel my full support and appreciation. They protect us outside our borders, but I have always wondered about something. Each branch of service has their song to describe their particular service. Why not one for our LEOs? It would be something to connect your service to our country. You all protect us within our borders, and if not for you, no one could sleep at night as decribed in Signal_W's signature. I salute all past, present, and future LEOs. Maybe this is something the National FOP could consider if there was enough support for it.

I thought it was "Bad Boys".

The chorus from "Letters From Home" by John Michael Montgomery always makes me think of LEO's

I am not a country music fan, but I really like that song. Mainly because one of my best friends in HS was seriously injured by a roadside bomb, and another one is with the 10th Special Forces, and is currently on his 3rd tour to Iraq.

For LEOs I suggest "Beer For My Horses" with Toby Keith and Willie Nelson!

You are all off base. The ONLY song worth considering is "I fought The Law And The Law Won" by The Bobby Fuller Four.
Breakin' rocks in the hot sun
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the law won
I needed money 'cause I had none
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the law won
I miss my baby and it feels so sad
and I guess my race is run
She's the best girl that I ever had
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the
Robbin' people with a six-gun
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the law won
I lost my girl and I lost my fun
I fought the law and the law won
Honorable mention to "Bad Boys" from Cops.

For my academy graduation, the instructors made a DVD of our class for us. In the background "American Soldier" played. I think it matches our jobs perfectly, everytime I hear that song, I think of an LEO.

I dunno, I'm not a big fan of self congratulatory shit. I get tired of reading odes to police officers on LE sites and stuff like that. Yeah, the job is demanding and dangerous, but so is being an iron worker on a high rise. On RP, one of the mods had his wife post some syrupy bullshit about how wonderful a cop he is, etc. I about fucking puked.
Sometimes I think we take ourselves much too seriously. When I used to be somebody (I'm center top)
