If you could have a one hour interview with anyone, living or dead, who had to tell the truth, who would it be and why?

Jesus Christ. I'd ask Him what the answers are to life, the universe, and everything.

Definitly my Dad's father. I never got to meet him because he passed away before I was born. A lot of people tell me I'm a lot like him. I would love just to sit with him for an hour and just see the type person he was and get to know him a little.
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

If she had to tell the truth, I'd want to be with my girlfriend.......
The six o'clock ruleI tell them to act according to the six o'clock rule, a phrase that causes most of them to say, "Huh?"
I tell them to use this little test before they decide to do something. If they were to do what they're thinking about, and it became the lead story on the six o'clock news, would they be proud? Would their department be proud, and would their family be proud? It's a simple way to live your life both personally and professionally.

The views, opinions, stupid off the cuff comments, mouthy, obnoxious, thoughtless, etc etc etc are not always or even some of the time the belief of my department, so bugger off!

I'd much rather go on a smaller scale. There are some things I don't need to or want to know. I would much rather interview a loved one I didn't know much about.

My Great Grandfather - He was a Deputy in Jonesville, LA.
He was shot and killed breaking up a fight over river fish poaching, of all things.
I would ask him how I can prove he was a Deputy so we could get his name put on the wall - At that time, the deputies didn't always have to be trained or documented. They were just sworn in and told to just go out and act like deputies - that was that, so all we have is a couple of newspaper articles on his actions that night.

Surprised you did not just go straight to the Top and go with God himself/herself!
I agree with Term, and rather go smaller scale, not a matter of truth or not, but I would so much love to talk to my mom again and ask questions I wish I asked when she was alive. Mostly about her life growing up, she was orphaned young and did not talk much of her family.
There are some things I don't need to or want to know. Maybe those things or some things are better left unknown otherwise God would have given those answers. I do not have much of a religious upbringing but there was a time when I thought people were brought on this earth to find an answer, maybe it was to find out what life is all about, when you do find it out it is your time to die, to move on. Do I still believe that, not really, just like I used to believe people get what is theirs, good people get good things, bad get bad, you see very quickly that is not true either. Then again no one said life is fair!

Well God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are supposed to be manifestations of the same being according to the theory of the Trinity, and of those three Jesus seems the most approachable manifestation, so I'd rather talk with Jesus. Moses' hair turned white after he talked with God, but Doubting Thomas could even demand ID from Jesus and still emerge relatively unscathed.

re: Obama et al
I would be more concerned with what is not said. The behavior already displayed is good indication of his direction. There are huge gaps in his history and he has spent some huge money to keep records suppressed. Guess his training as a lawyer, or foreign agent programming, taught him the value of silence over a lie.
Lies are words; but behavior is what they do with what is in their hands, and that can hurt you. A lie alone may not hurt, but it is a strong warning some hurtful behavior is following.
My favorite question would be to Hillary Clinton: "Did you know Vince Foster was dead before the police reported finding his body in the Park?"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Since Jesus is already covered I would go with one of the founding fathers to see how America has strayed from their vision.
Romans 13:4
For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
