That's about how I feel. I don't think I could torture someone with the same methods they used, but a good savage beating might be more my style. Of course, no one really knows what they are truely capable of until they are put in that position.

Like someone else posted, not many people are truely capable of ending a life, if they're actually the ones pulling the trigger. On the other hand, many Nazi soldiers went over and beyond their orders in torturing and killing their Jewish victims. I voted "no" because I wouldn't torture them, but I'd have no problem saving the State the cost of an execution and putting a bullet in a murderer's ear, or else just giving him an old-fashioned beating for lesser crimes.

I agree that it depends on the situation...I don't believe that I could torture someone, but if someone raped and murdered my wife or kids, well.......................... ................You better hope the Po Po find you before I do. Under those circumstances, I could imagine myself doing some pretty heinous shit to the perp!

I wouldn't care if it was some asshole that I worked with (like Brad..... ). No matter what I think of another LEO.....they are still my brother/sister in blue......and if shit hits the fan....I will be there beside them....as I know the will be there beside me......or better be....because I would shoot their ass next if the left me hanging out by myself....or did the same to another one of my brother/sister LEOs.....

I dunno....it would depend on who the vic was. If it was personal, ie a family member or close friend was the vic, yeah, I could administer wall to wall training on them. Actually kill them?? Dunno...I don't think I would go to their house with that intent, but I suppose it could happen by accident in the midst of an ass kicking.

Ok I'll give 3 situations and I'd like y'all to respond if you could or could not.
Situation 1:
Random 6 year old kid from upstate was kidnapped, raped,beaten, tortured and cut on and eventually killed. Could you do the same to him (the rapist)? (Forget the rape.. maybe a baseball bat?) If your don't do it the guy is going to Club Fed for a few years and he's out.
Situation 2:
Same as above except this is the kid of your partner or someone you are particularly close to.
Situation 3:
Same as the first except it is your child, your son or daughter.Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft. -

1- Probably not, I am cynical, but I think the justice system works well enough to take care of him.
2- Yeah, maybe not torture, but he would be toast.
3- No questions asked, hurt either of my boys, and you have signed your one way ticket to hell.
None of this should be taken as I am cold blooded, but there are boundaries that you will not cross with me. When I took this job, it was knowing full well that at some point I may have to take a life to save mine or someone elses. I am prepared to do it if necessary, I came to peace with God on that a long time ago.But once again my kids are my life, you hurt them, may God have mercy on you, because I WLL NOT. The same goes for another officer, we have to look out for each other, and take care of each other, because at 3 AM who else do I have to watch my back? End of Rant
