Can you imagine the requirements?
All of us on this board put together probably wouldn't meet them.

I always liked Delano. Lived not too far from there during my college days.
Nice little city back then.
Now I know WHY I liked it.

Methinks the decimal points are off by a couple of places. Either that, or "Community Services Officer" involves a lot of VERY unsavory duties.

Hard to believe that Delano, CA has 53,000 people. Approximately 30 miles north of Bakersfield in California's Central San Joaquin Valley. Unsavory duties probably involve dealing with illegal aliens and farm workers, so being bi-lingual in Spanish would help. Summers can get into the triple digits easily. Winters can get very foggy. There are a couple of state prisons nearby.
On a lighter note, you may get to drive this car. This is the county that Delano is in.

Being Federal was great money but not much to do, now I make alot less but have more fun and love doing my job. Plus I don't feel like I'm an over paid Security Guard. As for the announcement I think it's an error!
Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!
