Gratitude Salute
Gratitude Salute
This is pretty neat.....(30 second video)... Have you ever seen one of our military walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how, or it felt awkward?
Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could
be used to express your thanks and has started a movement to get
the word out..
Please everybody take just a moment to watch..... The Gratitude Salute
...and then forward it to your friends!
THEN START USING THE SIGN.

Very nice! I would say something like "thank you for your service" while making making a gesture like that, though, just in case they don't know what the gesture means.

It's a common everyday occurrence for the military to be around me at my place of employment, especially during lunch time. Of course, it is a given that we support them, since I work on a military base. They wouldn't be coming around if we didn't support them, and of course we (AAFES) wouldn't exist without them. Maybe I should do this more often because they sure don't hear it enough.
