Upgraded
So, this past week the hubby and I decided to upgrade our motorcycle. We shopped around and finally found what we wanted. We traded our 08 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic on a 07 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. Brought her home on Tuesday. She is a beauty! Vivid Black, tons of chrome and only 1700 miles on her. We spent Tuesday night and Wednesday night waxing and polishing her up. Came with HD leather saddlebags but when we took them off to clean them we decided we liked the look of the bike without them so we're gonna keep them off unless we go on an extended road trip. Just going to get the windshield bag to carry small stuff.
We've taken her out on the highway a couple times and she runs great. Wish there was more summer left but we have a couple more weeks, maybe 2 months or so before it gets too cold to ride.

Believe me pics will be taken this weekend!!! Ducky, we already have our leathers and there will be snow on the ground before we put her up for the winter, lol. CB, glad to be in the family, finally, lol. We've been saving a while for this and looked at alot of bikes before we decided on this one. This one will last us forever. Had so few miles on it we still are breaking it in.

That's awesome, mack! I'm working on going through the riding classes here to get my motorcycle endorsement. Of course, this will have to wait until after November. heh After that, I'm going to get a shiny new V-Star (it's the only bike my short little butt will fit on comfortably)...Enjoy your ride!!!!!

Congrats. Watch for the usual road hazards:
1. cattle (known as 'slow elk' in some places)
2. deer
3. farmers who who claim seniority over the posted stop signs and signals
4. old farmers who have the road named for them, thus they "own" the road
5. above operating farm machinery any time of day or night with or without lights
6. geezers in old pickups that are road hunting
7. old ladies with blue hair that cannot see over the steering wheel of their full size Buick

Had a great ride this weekend. Left about 9am, came home about 3:30pm. Hit Rabbit Hash, KY, Markland Dam and a bunch of other places. Beautiful day and great ride.
