The past few days of my life.
The past few days of my life have generally been great. Only one event I can really complain about and I won't until the end. Probably more of a hurt ego than anything else.
Anywho...
On Friday, March 31st I took my Missouri POST exam and later found out that I passed with a 90%. I then spent most of the rest of that day with my friend who flew in to be my best man while he was on leave. He is in the Army (Military Intel, forget his unit) stationed in Colorado and just got back from 8 months in Iraq.
More importantly that day, I guess, is that I got married :D. Ahh, what a wonderful feeling. I actually don't have much else to say on that, but here are some pictures:
- The kiss
- Me and my wife
- Cutting the cake
- She kicked my ass with the cake
- The wedding party
On Monday, April 3rd I graduated from the police academy. I am now Class A certified in Missouri(woot woot), just need to focus on a job now lol. Glad that the past 6 months are finally over. Whew. On a sad note though, I graduated in my class 21/30. With a 91%. Freaking nuts. Doesn't bother me too much though.
Now onto what really screwed up the weekend for me. Since my dad was in town for my graduation and wedding. He offered to rent me a nice car for the week. I decided on a Black 2006 Charger. Mmmm yes very nice. But damn if that car wasn't bad luck, or maybe it was my best man in the car with me. Because not 2 minutes after getting the car and driving off the rental lot I got a ticket for speeding (48 in a 30). I won't even get into the whole story of it because in the end it really is all just my fault. Still angry as heck. Over four years of 0 problems and I get a speeding ticket on my wedding day and a few days before I graduate from the academy.
Here are some pictures from graduation:
- My class, me being the darkest one up there
- Marching back after receiving our basic training diplomas
- Taking our oath
- Retiring our class guidon
- Me and my girls
- Me and my wife
- Me, my dad, my mom, and my step-mom
- Last picture, promise
That last picture really didn't have anything to do with anything...I just happened to fall asleep with my daughter a month or so back and my wife took a picture of us while we were sleeping.
The real kicker though is that my sister was pulled over Saturday for speeding and she has a very long history for it and didn't even get so much as a verbal warning, she got into a conversation with the officer because he remembers seeing me at the academy when he came once as a sort of assistant instructor. I guess the good that came out of that meeting was he told her to encourage me to apply at his department because they would be having an opening soon.
