I'd go down to Lake Fork and hunt Bald Eagles & field mice before I resorted to that.

Things have been rough around here for the past year. Locally unemployment is running at 11%. The number of mental holds, domestic batteries and general disturbance calls are the highest that we've seen in ten years (according to the stats lady in records) and there are a whole lot of empty houses in all of our subdivisons.
Amazingly departments in the area (to include mine) are still hiring. However I got nine years with my agency and I'm not going anywhere. I don't think I would want to be starting out at the bottom in this economy.Last edited by Checkman; 11-08-09 at 12:15 PM. Reason: Spelling.

Yeah my agency is talking about laying off anywhere from 30 to 300, with 300 being the probable number. Guess that's what happens when your state would rather give free food stamps to the unemployed then pay there cops. Sucks guys, really sucks. I feel for those on the bottom of the seniority lists at all agencies.

Why do I need to buy survival food. I'll just take it from liberals that think guns are evil. After I'm done loading up their food, I'm taking their toilet paper too.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Me too! However, the Costco near here is located in Madison, where it is illegal to sell handguns and ammo
