I saw this on Fox News this morning.
I'm waiting to see them in the aisles.
I wonder how fast they can get them to the buyer? No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones life for ones friends - John 15:13

I wonder if they are made in china. If so people better be careful while carrying them. Don't want handles breaking and bodies falling out

I think it's creepy and beyond tacky, but it's Walmart, so nothing surprises me.

It's about time! I pre-planned my Dad's burial a few years ago, and it was close to $10,000 They asked if I wanted a leak resistance vault guaranteed for 100 years. I asked who was going to check to collect?

Just put me in a pine box and stick me in the ground. Something tells me I'm not going to give a crap how comfortable the coffin is, or how expensive it was.
That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.

Nope, but the Casket Companies (there are 2 of the major manufacturers of caskets in the country in this area) did buy one to see just what kind of quality they were. From what hubby told me all the big wigs stood around checking them out. FYI-quality is not good at all, they are I believe made in China.
My dad, I miss him every day.

I think I'm going to make my own. It'll have a memory foam bottom and sides, and lined with satin. The rest will be a little wooden box. Nothing but the best for my ashes.

Honestly, I saw how they make them on one of those How It's Made shows. I'm not going to have someone spend three times what my car is worth for some cheap fabric, wood shavings, and a box with handles. I'm not going to care what I'm in. I know it's supposed to be a sign of respect for the dead to have an elaborate funeral, but I'd rather have more respect for the survivors and them being able to make ends meet afterwards.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

Yours is pretty practical, but I'm thinking instead of wasting potential pinewood derby winners just roll my corpse in to one of the worse patches of noxious weeds somewhere in the county. Light the flamethrower and burn away. Kills two birds with one fuel nozzle, so to speak.
