2. Rookie: Uses McDonalds drive-thru so he won't miss a call.
Veteran: Spends 45 minutes drinking coffee at Dunkin Donuts.

3. Rookie: You can't read his name plate because it's polished so
brightly.
Veteran: Doesn't wear one for liability reasons.

4. Rookie: Puts too much into reports.
Veteran: Doesn't put enough into reports.

5. Rookie: Loves foot pursuits.
Veteran: Makes the rookie do the foot pursuits.

6. Rookie: Is given 40 hours of training on communications at the
academy.
Veteran: Was given 40 rounds of ammunition when he left the academy.

7. Rookie: Wants everyone to know he is a cop.
Veteran: Doesn't want anyone know he is a cop.

8. Rookie: Loves to find stolen vehicles.
Veteran: Doesn't care about stolen vehicles, unless someone is in it.

9. Rookie: Can spot an expired tag at 50 yards.
Veteran: Can't spot anything at 50 yards.

10. Rookie: Spends 2 hours on follow ups.

Veteran: Writes on his hand.

Number 15 was one of the first thing's I learned. I've went lights and sirens right up to the fight scene.
