Officer Resource Logo

We have decided to start making merchandise (hats, shirts, coffee mugs, ect...) for the site. The problem is that our logo is very long and does not look very good on a shirt or hat. We need a few designs that we can use to put on our stuff.

I am going to open this up to the members. Any member who creates a logo for the site will receive a free product with the logo on it. We will also give full credit to the designer. Once the logo is made the designer will give up all rights to the logo and the logo will become property of Officer Resource.

I look forward to the ideas that you come up with.

Maybe do something with the "O/R" abbreviation a lot already use? Like a nice bold O, a blue line for the dash, and then an R in the same typeface as the O? Put the OfficerResource.com in a small typeface underneath... kind of like this:

With how many people on here (as judged from another thread) don't think that they should convey to the world that they are a cop through their clothing, etc., how much good would it be to sell O/R merchandise? If you wear it, you are telling people that you are a cop. So many on here seem scared to let people know they are cops while off duty. Any on here who would be of such mind would be just as well served to just donate money to O/R, instead of buying merchandise. I mean isn't that where the idea of selling O/R merchandise comes from....making money for the site?

That being said, I think if someone could come up with a cool logo, it would be a good thing, maybe something that could circulate in cop circles, like the 1* has. Maybe an O/R booth could be set up at the FOP tent city during Police Week in DC?

I would use the coffee mug at work and at home. I would like to see some stuff that the sworn guys could use at work and get coworkers to ask about it and check us out on their own. That being said, coming up with a logo that doesn't shout cop is an option too. The more ideas the better.

And then center a hand drawn logo stating "For Cops by Cops", done in an artistic way it would be catching, maybe place the words in a shield or police car drawing.

I like 2blue's idea, but maybe include a star and a badge to show Sheriff's Depts and Police Depts., with that incorporate the US flag which would signify the military

I think the first third of the logo is cool (the SWAT team). That might look good on a T-Shirt.

It's gotta have a gun and a badge in it somewhere.

The "OWNED" theme would be pretty cool too - Like a photo of PGG's dog inflicting dicipline :-)
