Black Friday
Do any of you go out to a mall or to do any shopping on Black Friday? I stay as far away from the malls as possible on that day.

I will be cashiering at Target. Have mercy on us. Haha
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

After working 4 Black Fridays at Best Buy, I stay as far away from stores as humanly possible. People are freaking INSANE when they're shopping.

I only send Christmas cards and gifts to people who send me Christmas cards (often with gifts) against my wishes, causing me to feel I have to reciprocate.
I encourage people to convey their holiday wishes via email (not e-cards, either, because they often carry spam and malware) instead, because I think Christmas cards and gifts are a waste of trees, money, fossil fuels, and storage space. If it's the thought that counts, why not just send thoughts electronically and skip the clunky material things?
Actually the last time I bought Christmas cards and wrapping paper was many years ago, because I still haven't run out of them.
I'll be sure to send you some Christmas greetings via an O/R post, Car 4.

God, I hate going to any store over this weekend. Like Gopherpuckfan, I also did the Best Buy thing many years ago, and it was nuts then. Way worse nowadays, but it is fun to work traffic and listen to the excuses at 0330 on Black Friday.
Very amusing...

I wonder if Tractor Supply or Home Depot are having black friday sales?

Nope, never did, never will. Same for Christmas Eve day. Saw commercial that some stores are opening at 4 am. That is just insane. I used to have to get up for work at 0340 hours and that took some getting used to, but to do it to go shopping, I don't think so.
It is your lucky day pgg:

I will be asleep all day and working that night. 95% of our shopping is done with our Amazon Prime account.
Thankfully the city is smart to assign a command post and officers to the mall area from Thanksgiving to New Years so they handle all the traffic wrecks and shopliftings. A patrol officer may have to wait in hours of traffic getting to and from calls there otherwise...That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.

I think TSC is opening at 6, if I read that flyer correctly...
Personally, I either stay as far away from the black friday craziness as possible - or I go to watch the cat fights...
Depends on my mood, sleep schedule, and whether or not there's anything else going on that might be more fun. Tomorrow, I'll be splitting my time between being in the woods getting my tree stand finished for monday and managing the expansion project at the firehall...
