Thanks for the post and for those interested:

The Western Washington Papa John's Pizza stores are donating 100% of all profits to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Benevolent Fund starting at 11am today and going until 11pm tomorrow. They can be found on FB under Fundraiser for Lakewood, WA Fallen Police Officers. If you can't attend how about calling one of ...the stores and having a pizza or two delivered to the local PD, dispatch center or homeless shelter

It does work in Firefox. You may need the Windows 11 media player Firefox plugin to work.

Wow. What an incredibly moving memorial. Condolences to all those who knew the fallen officers. May the officers rest in peace.

Thanks for posting that. I could not help but think about those officers on the day they died. They were hanging at the coffee shop, chatting, probably a little picking at each other, getting ready to go to work. They had no idea that just a few days later they would be sharing a funeral procession watched by people all over the nation. Life is so unpredictable, especially in law enforcement.

I watched quite a bit, but didn't get to see the whole memorial. I actually had to shut it off. My six year old son had seen me drop a couple of tears and came to see what I was watching. He had come in at the very end of the video tribute, which was a tribute to all the officers together. Even at six, he understood what was going on, and began to cry quite a bit while holding on to me. I had to shut it down and have a father/son discussion that I hadn't planned on having for a few years.

It was something else... Never been a part of anything of that size before. The procession arrived at the Tacoma dome before I even pulled out of McChord AFB, they called it on the radio.

I'm the third car in on the 10th column or so.

    The service was amazing.

I did, in a way. But when the "please don't go to work, daddy" started coming, I was doing more talking than I was prepared for.

20,000+ police officers yelling "Show me your hands!" was unbelievable.

1:40 or so into that video.

The dome shook, the video just doesn't capture the audio quality.

Hearing it on the video gave me chills - I can only imagine the impact it had live.
