Wow. What an incredibly moving memorial. Condolences to all those who knew the fallen officers. May the officers rest in peace.

Thanks for posting that. I could not help but think about those officers on the day they died. They were hanging at the coffee shop, chatting, probably a little picking at each other, getting ready to go to work. They had no idea that just a few days later they would be sharing a funeral procession watched by people all over the nation. Life is so unpredictable, especially in law enforcement.

I watched quite a bit, but didn't get to see the whole memorial. I actually had to shut it off. My six year old son had seen me drop a couple of tears and came to see what I was watching. He had come in at the very end of the video tribute, which was a tribute to all the officers together. Even at six, he understood what was going on, and began to cry quite a bit while holding on to me. I had to shut it down and have a father/son discussion that I hadn't planned on having for a few years.

It was something else... Never been a part of anything of that size before. The procession arrived at the Tacoma dome before I even pulled out of McChord AFB, they called it on the radio.
I'm the third car in on the 10th column or so.
The service was amazing.I'm your huckleberry...
