I've always thought this was a good training video. Shows the use of force continuum basically from bottom to top.
He doesn't necessarily "slam them" but he does one HELL of a job kickin' ass and taking names.

This guy gets squished pretty hard when the cop puts the habeus grabbus on him an lands on him, but the rest of it goes down the shitter pretty quick. Watch the bald cop get sprayed with OC by his partner when they get the guy pinned on the car.

jmur,on your first video,I would have been REAL tempted to clear leather when 2 of them began fighting me,when #2 opened the back of the truck and grabbed the shovel,well I do believe the odds would have been evened up,right quick,fast,and in a hurry.

I don't think he hesitated at all. As soon as the back of the truck opened up he started hitting them with the baton, and when he produced a shovel he drew down on them and got some distance.
And reference fighting both of them, he seems like a pretty stout fella. He didn't seem to have an issue with it. Drawing down right from the start would have been completely justified, but apparently not absolutely necessary.No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones life for ones friends - John 15:13
