For $500 they ought to come with a craftsman/maglite/streamlight rivaled lifetime replacement guarantee...
That way you could get a new pair of boots say every six months just because you wore yours out, your feet got bigger, you got a scratch so bad you couldn't buff it to a shine anymore, etc....

Then I could picture spending $500 bucks. If it was a boots for life kinda thing...

Sounds about right for a company that charges $100-$400 for sun glasses that only seem marginally better than some $3 assorted Silenco shooting glasses I bought from CDNN once - Plus I bought about 50 of them at once, so I don't cry when I scratch the shooting glasses, I just save them as spares.

My Danners are half as expensive and I can resole them. I've been wearing them nearly a decade. Those things are throw away when you wear down the sole. No thanks.
