A Good Reminder

This is an excellent reminder of the dangers of proned suspects. After the intro it's the first segment and runs to about 7:30 minutes. Basically it's about the research Dr. Bill Lewinsky and the Force Science Institute are conducting into proned suspects presenting a gun and firing on officers. It was very eye opening.

A suspect can fire in a quarter of a second. Wow. It's good they are studying this scientifically. Hope you all stay safe.

So can we, the problem is you have to add a half to three quarters of a second in reaction time.

I seriously applaud the effort of this study. It would have been better and real world had they also done this study in a darkened situation. My download time is lagging so they may have and I didn't see it. The idea to educate the public is spot on and I agree wholeheartedly. However, it is much harder to see those microsecond clues that you are about to be shot when trying to find them in the dark.
