Got this in the mail yesterday.
Looks like a good way to continue my current career and work with some good people at the same time. It's sworn, uniformed, armed and unpaid. If I get rejected from being a volunteer, I'm running out in trafficRE: Auxiliary Police Recruitment
Dear Prospective Applicant,
There will be an Orientation Class for interested applicants for the Auxiliary Police scheduled for Monday, May 1, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The class will be held at the Public Safety Training Center. The orientation class will give an overview of who the Auxiliary Police are, their role in law enforcement within the county, the application process, plus the time and personal commitment required to become a member of the Auxiliary Police. The class is expected to run approximately two hours. Qualified applicants may secure a complete application package following this class.
With volunteers so difficult to find, it is nice to know that there are individuals that are interested in serving their community. Thank you for your interest in our unit. I look forward to meeting you at the class.
