Departmental Politics
Hi all,
I am still a fully certified LEO in KS. though I am not commissioned due to the fact that I can't get hired anywhere. Problem began when I was out on FMLA, and the 'Chief' replaced my position with a yet-to-go to the academy kid. I was due back on duty within the week at 100%. How legal was that? Since, within this county, I have been blackballed and this includes anything with county, city, etc. See, the 'Chief' was IA within a large KS. department, and it seems that he thrives on ruining people. This has occurred to at least 4 other officers I knew and worked with. Simply amazing.

Interesting for a first post for someone who joined in May. Post an intro in the introduction forum and get to know everyone.
I don't have a whole lot of advice since I'm not entirely familiar with your situation. The only thing I can offer is to consult a labor attorney."Like" us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Offic...93147194083228

Actually, I had been 'in' since about 1992, but had dropped from the ranks here. It really does not matter, it is past the statue of limitations, but he stil haunts me every time I apply for a job. Quite amazing, all-in-all.

Why would you be blackballed for going on FMLA?
There has to be more to this. That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.
