woohoo!
i got an unexpected phone call today from a blocked number, i figured it was just one of my lady stalkers so i let my voicemail get it. then when i listened to the message it was from the saginaw county sheriffs office!
i applied last august for a position as a corrections officer hoping to get my foot in the door and work my way up to being on the road and one week they were putting a class together for the academy and then the next day they laid guys off.
and then this morning they finally called, i have an interview monday and an agility test the 14th. im trying not to get my hopes up but im pretty excited about it. i was told that they do all of their checking up on you before they bother to call so they dont waste their time, is that true? i dont have anything on my record that would look bad but i would hate to get through all of that and then find out they axed my application because they didnt like something

Congrats!
All departments do the hiring/back ground different. At ours, we interview first then background. And a good reminder, check your facebook, twitter, etc.. It's the first place I look when reviewing candidates.

One of my good friends works for the City of Sagniaw. It's a nasty place, I guess hence its name Sagnasty! Good luck on the process!

And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

Congrats and good luck! Here, if you make it to the physical/polygraph, you pretty much have it as long as you pass those.

That is awesome news. I am not a CO but I am an interview king. When they ask you why you want to work "here". tell them that you always wanted to be a zoo keeper but the schooling for zoo keeper was to long. You will get the job for sure and then you can thank me!
