"The Storm"
Who has been hit by this storm? Who is working through it? Anything interesting going on in your area due to it?
My Friday was the first night it hit. We had ice and freezing rain starting at midnight. It was nasty for the first bit, but as it came down a crust formed on the ice that gave a little more traction than before.
I'm on my days off, but last night was rough for weather. We got a lot more ice in addition to what we had. I listened to trees dropping like flies in the woods behind my house. I felt pretty bad for my partners who had to work last night, it couldn't have been good.

We are having very cold temps, high winds and light flurries. The ice and freezing rain stopped late yesterday. I had to crawl under the barbed wire fence and run across the cow pasture this morning to get the cover to our fire pit that blew off during the night. I'm really hoping that this is mud on knees of my jeans and not cow poop
My dad, I miss him every day.

It snowed a couple inches here and it's pretty cold but that's business as usual...

It was -25 this morning when I got up. It's still only -5 out but it is sunny. Didn't get any snow.

This storm that was supposed to bring in all the snow actually melted most of the snow we had on the ground!

Here around Dallas, it got down to 10 degrees Monday night, and probably won't get above freezing until Friday, just in time for the Superbowl mob to hit the streets (thank goodness I live 20 miles away from that mess).
We had some rain, then a couple inches of sleet and snow after it got below freezing/ There's still a lot of ice on the roads, since none of it has melted. Of course all the schools are closed and a lot of people are staying home from work.
At noon today it was 17 degrees. A week ago it was in the 60's and 70's.

We had the same here Reca, lots of rain and freezing rain yesterday got rid of what was left of the snow pretty much. Now we have had a constant flurry all day and it's really cold cause of the wind.
Charlie, I saw your weather on the news, pretty messy down there huh?
My dad, I miss him every day.

Gotta love Mobile's weather. Yesterday it rained all day and was 70. Today it's cloudy and in the high 30's. Man, I can't wait til March when it starts warming up. I hate cold weather!!

Yesterday was messy. Eight inches of snow total with 25 mph winds. This weekend will be up in the thirties.

My area was right below the snow track - we had an ice storm, but by early afternoon much of the ice had melted. There are still plenty of huge piles of snow around, though.

Finally got above 0 degrees here after 48 hours below zero. Got down to -20 with -40 windchills.
Only a light dusting of snow on Monday night though. Guess the storm hadn't built up a good head of steam yet when it passed over us.
Tomorrow supposed to be back in the 30's.The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
