Well, hopefully this works.
I'll have to get one of my kids to show me how to post a youtube video
This links will take you to my departments home page. Then you'll see the "Sheild of Gold" video. Pretty good video that shows, kinda, what our job is all about. The song was written by a Michigander, just for this video. Of course, I'm in it sereval times, wouldn't want to waste all the raw talent and rugged good looks
But more importantly two of my daughters made the final cut. They were pretty happy about that.

Thanks all,
It is a pretty fun job. Up where I'm at it is a little slow. My patrol county is about 1300 sq miles and my patrol area is three county's each about that size + I patrol on both Lake Michigan & Lake Superior. So I cover, with 5 other Game Wardens, about 3500 sq miles of land and probably 2000 sq miles of Great Lakes water. With each county having a population of around 30,000 it gets hard to find people and then even harder to find those cheating. The nice thing about up here, most of the time, is a get to be a game warden and be out in the woods. The guys that work Detroit have to go to a museum to find a tree
But they write 10 times the tickets I do, if you care about that kinda stuff.

Can't you give speeding tickets to fast-moving bears and birds?

I have a hard time getting them to show up at court, then you have to find them on the warrant, all the other bears give you the run around etc ,etc Originally Posted by Jenna
