Bad Storms Strain Law Enforcement
This was on the ground, caused major damage southwest of us, pulled up over us causing minor damage, then put back down northwest of us. Passed right over the station.
The video in the link is about 1/2 mile past the station.

We just had one a little while ago about 7 miles south of us, destroyed a guys house with him inside.

Got Nailed Today
Storms hit everywhere around me today. Trees down everywhere, people hitting said trees, the regular BS domestics and such, wrecks, power lines down, power lines starting fires, my yard is a mess with trees and other debris, my power is off, I just finished a 14 hour day, I've got a couple of candles, my smartphone, and now I've hijacked my MDT. Wife took the kids to her parents place about thirty minutes away. Just me the dog, the cats, and my empty stomach. The only thing that would make this worse would be a visit from the Jehovah's Witnesses.

We've had some similar weather (but not nearly as bad) the last couple days.
I've got about 20 pine trees lining my property along our road, and the majority of them were completely twisted in the wind today. I could actually see the trunks because the branches were bent all the way around.
And now all night so far we've had sleet/snow mix. Roads are HORRIBLE.No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones life for ones friends - John 15:13

For those of you snickering at me all winter with our -40 temps out here, it's 50 out today with beautiful blue skies, and we're on hour 14 of daylight and I'll enjoy sunset on my way to graves shift at 11:30.

Glad you're alright. Must be something about the day. I just finished up 2.5 hours over (the last 2.5 was my doing working some traffic with the drug guys) and spent a great bit of that bouncing from crash, to 911 hangup/unruly juvenile to bank alarm, to crash with every utility except water effected where I spent 3.5 hours, to Domestic/Child abuse, back to utility pole crash, to....shit, I don't remember.
The wind and rain is just starting here. Rumor has it we may end up with the nastyness ya'll had today.

Well, not a good night, we had 3 fatalities about 20 miles south of us last night about 9pm. The Mom and 2 children were killed and tha Da and 1 other still hospitalized. Bad business.
