Patriot Guard Riders
Recently I attended the memorial service for an officer killed in the line of duty. The service was on a terrible day, rain, snow and cold. In addition to the Police and Sheriff's departments honoring the officer were members of the Patriot Guard Riders. These volunteers stood lining both sides of the walkway into the church, each holding an American flag on a pole. It was truly a moving experience to see these men honoring the fallen officer and "standing their ground" regardless of the weather and their discomfort. I felt honored by them, as did other officers at the service. If any of you on here are members of this group, Thank you.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

The Patriot Guard does good work. May the officer rest in peace.

Their turnout here was huge for a fallen Marine. They are good people.
