What an inspiration!A man who lost part of his leg in a motorcycle accident defied all physical limits Friday after passing a grueling fitness test to rejoin his SWAT team, reports Channel 7 WSPA.
Using a permanent prosthetic leg, Keith Soules was required to successfully run a mile in 12 and a half minutes or less, climb a rope, do push-ups and sit-ups and pass a firearms test to qualify for the team, explains the Spartanburg Herald Journal.

Awesome. Former Marine? Less surprising, but no less awesome.

Way to go , Keith. Your only as handicapped as you want to be.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

My good friend lost his leg in motor cycle accident as well. He recovered from it and is back doing police work. It was really the most painful and inspiring thing I've seen in my whole life, watching him go through the loss of his limb to being back on the job.
As a matter of fact, this past weekend we were with our police explorers at a competition and I complained about how my knees were bothering me because of the cold damp weather and going up and down stairs all day. He looked at me and smiled. I remembered who I was talking to and shut the hell up. lol"If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton
