    Controversy over pants with washing instructions that say "GIVE IT TO YOUR WOMAN, IT’S HER JOB"

    t's not every day that clothing care instructions spark controversy. But that's what happened after British journalist Emma Barnett picked up her boyfriend's pants over the weekend while tidying the house.

    Underneath the usually customary "machine wash warm" instructions, the tag offered a less appropriate option: “OR – GIVE IT TO YOUR WOMAN, IT’S HER JOB.”

    Barnett tweeted an image of the tag on Monday, prompting an immediate outcry on social media and demands to out the company, Madhouse. The ensuing controversy has divided the citizenry into two camps: those who thought it was hilarious, with some asking how they can buy a pair, and those who found it offensive.

    Sorry, but that's just f-ing hilarious. Is it true? No, but that doesn't mean it isn't funny. Men are pigeonholed into stereo types every day. Mostly none of them are true, but we can find humor in them. But I'm supposed to be outraged when someone makes a crack about women, when every day men are decried as hapless imbeciles that only want to drink beer and watch TV? F that...even if all I want to do is drink beer and watch TV.

    That's such a hapless, tv watching, beer drinking, imbecilic thing to say!!

    I agree, I think the label is funny, I don't find it offensive at all.
