Can't Keep A Good Site Down
I just wanted to take a minute and explain to everyone what happened with the site being down. Our site along with a large number of vbulletin sites were attacked. It was not a direct attack on us but rather with one of the plug ins that we run on the site. They were able to put a script in through one of the plug ins which re-directed us to another site.
Good news bad news. The bad news is that we were down for several days. After we found the problem we had to go over everything to make sure that there were no other hidden problems. Good news is that our data base that the forums sits on was not attacked or exposed. The attack was simply a re-direct. The other thing that the did happen was an email was sent out to some of our members. That is what we know so far. We have since patched the plug in that had the vulnerability. Hopefully we can avoid this in the future.

One last thing. You will see that not all of the features are working. We have some features turned off until we can get them updated and tested for vulnerability.

Curious, was vbSEO really at fault or were the vBulletin guys redirecting blame on a support thread with 4000+ views? (ok, no, don't want to discuss successful attack vectors in public, it's rhetorical) I just got pretty irked when I saw that ticket was opened on the 13th and apparently nobody gave a heads up to the loyal customer here as late as last Monday. (Have they yet?) Freeware is at your own risk; the license fees on this should come with stellar support. 2¢. Hang the moron who ran the exploit from the rafters... hope I'm wrong on the customer service.
