June 6th

We have been remiss in not mentioning this before now.

Let us never forget June 6th and the brave men who stepped off of landing craft into hell on this day in 1944 - D-day.

You are right, Cidp. We should never forget, may they rest in peace.

I knew there was something significant about that day. Here I was thinking of the opening line to the song Convoy by C W Mc Call. :doh:

I still vividly remember my trip to that area. The beaches, the museums, the cemeteries.
