Doomed? What is actually changing for you?
Lets see now; by 2014, medicare will cost will rise to 50% of my wife and Is Social Security, EACH.
When I sell my house (if ever), there is a 2 1/2 % tax on the gross sale price plus 2 1/2% on the purchase price of my new home
All my Doctors visits are now reported directly (via computer) to the IRS, Health & Human services and Homeland Security.
If the Govt can mandate that you have to purchase something (Health Care for example), they can now mandate that you purchase/NOT PURCHASE something;
ALL THE GUISE OF A TAX INCREASE
If you have never lived or experienced Govt Run Health Care, look no further then our northern friends and to Europe (especially England). After a certain age they don't treat you for the illness, they just comfort them. I know this will piss off the Canadians and Brits, sorry about that.I to read some of the stuff about their health scheme. No thanks.
This forum is just not big enough to go thru all the 3000 pages of this @##$% plan.. If you have any questions, ask your /senator or /congressman about it, BUT, remember, they haven't read it .
To the newcomer on this list, remember, we ARE outspoken and opinionated.
Hey Sam, you ever see anything run by the guberment be successful. Now we are putting them in the position to make life or death health decisions on you and yours. Sleep good tonite.
The United States Government, no matter what party, cannot properly manage Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security. Instead of fixing those problems and making them work properly they have created a whole new problem which they won't be able to manage.
(by the way I was once a fan of this idea)
I never liked Roberts, but didn't realize he was this much of a snake.
Welcome to Greece, enjoy your sheep.
I have to agree with him on this.Quote:
"It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer "universal health care."
Thomas Sowell
I wonder how China feels about paying my Dr every time I get a cold. I say let the plan go through. Let China pay then default on the loan. Now I'm thinking like a free minded liberal. The transition is complete.
Some still think we should earn our way and be responsible HA Ha

For commentary, please read the below quote by De Tocqueville. Thank you.
It's not so bad. At least the court didn't declare health care to be a constitutional right, permanently saddling us with this boondoggle. The chief justice pointed out correctly that it's not the court's job to rescue us from our politicians we elected. This puts the entire issue back into congress for dealing with. The politicians either fix it or lose their jobs in November.
I think there's enough anger Congress is afraid of the election. We'll see.
I really read that Roberts is pissed Democrats were elected and he's saying "You asked for this!"
I really care very little. The government has been and always will screw us. It doesn't matter if it's Republicans or Democrats. Nothing will change if Romney gets elected. Obamacare might get repealed but we'll get some other screw job in its place. There won't be tax reform or government reform. More tinkering and debt.
