Father and daughter LEOs patrol together in LA
More here: Father and daughter police go on patrol in LA | Nation & World | The Seattle Timest's a tradition at the Los Angeles Police Department -when the child of a veteran officer joins the force, father and child pull a shift on patrol together. Usually it's a proud dad and his son. On Wednesday, Officer Jamie Carganilla, 29, joined her father, Officer Pat Cronin, to cruise a quiet corner of the San Fernando Valley for a father-daughter reunion.
"I need a car seat for my daughter," he said, as they checked out rifles together after roll call

That's awesome.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

That's cool! We don't work 2 man units here, but I do get to work a shift with my son about once a month & we make calls together. I haven't had any problem with it & we enjoy it. But he has admitted that it was awkward for him, at first, to tell/ask me to do something if he was primary on a call.
Comments from my son on the article:
We'd enjoy riding together, & kick ass; 90% of the general public would think it was neat; the 10% we dealt with would think it was hell; & the supervisor would probably transfer."Blessed are the the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. MATT 5:10
