SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Thanks all!!!
I've been a bit busy with moving my ex's things out of my house, (thankfully on my terms, because she still refuses to set foot in the place) and getting a new roommate settled, that may have been homeless had I not stepped in. He was referred to me by my church. Hopefully I can start working on being more self-sufficient. I still don't own a car yet, and I would like to move into a better place than this mobile home that is slowly falling apart around me, and somehow rebuild my credit and financial situation so I can make this come to pass. Someday, I would like to be married again. One thing at a time. Life is good!!!
This guy is awesome. I don't have to ask, nor do I expect him to clean up and he does it anyway. He has helped me with the moving, without being asked. Cooks his own food, washes his own dishes and sometimes mine, too. He has even paid his rent on time!!!
PGG has been here and he can attest to the disrepair of the place. Whatever you guys have heard about trailer parks is true!!! Mine looks like a cross between an okie white trash town and little Tijuana. Go figure!!!
