All week long, our house has beeing buzzed by P-51s, SBD dive bombers, an occasional B-25 and even a B-17. The Experimantal Aircraft Association is holding their annual fly-in about 20 miles north of me. A few of the warbirds use the local airstrip about a mile from home. This morning, my wife and I were sitting out back and after a low flying vintage plane flew over, I remarked, "That's going on my bucket list to fly in one of those." She said, "Lets go. Here's your chance." I was ready to go in about 30 seconds! We went out and I took a 30 minute flight in a WWII vintage T-6 Texan, flying manuevers over the city and surrounding countryside. It was great, though my stomach did more than one flip-flop when he pulled out of a dive or rolled over! By the way, do I have a great wife, or what?
