So far,at least here, it is a wimp.Katrinas eye went directly over me so NO,it is not the same path.At this time we have sparodic light showers, and an OCCASIONAL breeze.Nothing worth ruining my day off for, that fer sure, and what I am seeing on t.v. isn't much more impressive either. Will update later ,IF anything happens.

My shift was "blessed" with a minimum 12 hours of OT. A category 1? Please. I could be home sleeping. I'm headed to buy a kite.

I am sitting in Plaquemines Parish after getting called back from a class to come home to see a thunderstorm. I am less than 20 Miles from the eye and still waiting for the good stuff. Lew bring your kite over here we can get it going without much trouble.

One of my deputies has been whining like a little girl for the past two days about "Should I evacuate?", "Where can we go?", etc.
Whaa-whaa.
I told him to grow a pair. This one ain't sh*t.
Besides, we're all on stand-by, and he CAN'T leave.
I've WORKED more hurricanes than he's LIVED through. What a wuss!

The worst of Isaac is not here yet, but we're getting hit with some pretty strong winds right now and have been ordered off the streets until further notice. My wife called a little while ago and it looks like we might be getting a new fence for the back yard.
If that's the only thing that needs fixing after this I guess I won't complain much. Really wish this thing would blow on through instead of taking it's sweet ass time.
