Swamp Mafia
To my friends in the Swamp mafia, especially those in Plaquemine Parish, my thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything you need, give me call.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

You guys know you're in my prayers, please stay safe down there. And like Keith said, if there's anything you need just say the word.

Thanks guys. It isn't to bad. A little roof leakage, constant rain and wind and the power is out. The rain would have helped me sleep if the wind hadn't been smacking things into my house.

I got home to Laplace this morning and things were not too bad then I woke up with the news that water in Laplace was coming up. So far I am still dry at home but I know that it may not stay that way.

The edge of the storm just got here a couple of hours ago. Looks like nothing but a lot of rain and a little wind here for the next day or so. The biggest threat here will be tornadoes, so the weather geeks say. Y'all hang in there, Swamp Mafia.

Ho hum, another 36 hour shift. At least the paycheck will be decent for a change with the overtime. The storm really wasn't much of a problem here, it was all the hyped up panic from the powers that be and the public that was the problem. Typical B.S. Come on people , act like you been there before.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Saw a thing on our local news this morning about a house that was completely underwater except the roofline in Plaquemine Parish...wow. Reminds me of images from last years flooding around here (and could be why they showed it here). Stay safe (and somewhat dry) guys!

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.
