What's the first gun you ever shot?
What is the first gun you ever shot? For me, it was a pump action model 61. I still have it in my gun cabinet. It was my Dad's gun when he was a kid.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Remington 550 .22 rifle. I also still have it. It rode in the trunk of my dad's patrol car for years for any "plinking" needs. I did a polished reblue on it and refinished the stock when I worked part time for a gunsmith a few years back. Looks brand new.

Ruger Service Six with 38 specials in it. My dad's first service weapon, and it still sits in his dresser drawer for home defense duty. I was in either first or second grade. He'd take me out to shoot it every few months or so. I also busted my first 357 cap in that gun when I was about 10.
When I was 11, I went through a hunters safety class, and shot my first rifle, a .22.
When I was 12, I was old enough to be entered into the local turkey shoots, and shot my first shotgun, a 410 single shot that my dad picked up for under a hundred bucks. The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."

It was a pump action BB/pellet gun. No idea how old it was, but I was about 6. Then up to a .22 rifle a few years later. I grew up with the rifles, didn't shoot a handgun for the first time till just a few years back.
