Shop with a Cop

Today was Shop with a Cop. I did it last year, and had a lot of fun. Although I had to wake up at 0600 on a day off, I resolved to go this year too. And I brought my wife and son. We shopped with a 9 year old cancer patient. Last years kid didn't have a clue what he wanted. This little guy knew exactly what he wanted, and helped my 3 year old pick out a couple of toy cars (his bribe for being good).

Everyone had a great time, and my 3 year old loved seeing Santa being escorted by police cars.

I did that for about 10 years and always took my kids with me as well. For most of the kids that went, it was probably the only Christmas they really had.

I try and do it also. It is fun.

That is awesome! "Shop with a Cop" is such a great program for everyone involved. :)
