Notice Something Wrong?
On page 86 of the most recent issue of APB Magazine is a photo of two cops fighting with a bad guy. Anyone notice something wrong with the photo? There is NO MAGAZINE in the cop's firearm! Maybe it fell out during the struggle or maybe he discharged it on purpose, hard to tell. I will be anxious to see what the rest of the story is in the June issue.

Is it an actual bad guy, or could it be training? I know we didn't have mags in while training, but I haven't seen the article.

Actual caption below the photo: "Coming in the June issue! Nothing is scarier for a cop than the prospect of a suspect getting control of the officer's weapon. Be sure to look in nexth month's APB for more pictures and the story behind the dramatic photo above." It is a photo of two cops wrestling a guy on the hood of a cop car and it doesn't look like they are playing. There is a pair of sunglasses on the ground and I am assuming they belong to one of the cops. I don't know about all of you, but if someone knocks my sunglasses off, it's ON!

Maybe the guy tried to grab the officer's weapon, and the mag got punched out in the struggle. Hope the suspect got punched out shortly after

APB is a great mag, but sometimes thay get things confused. So maybe it's just a misprint. Look what they did by getting the photos of our illustrious founders switched around. Hope they correct that in next month's issue.

If I recall the picture correctly, the cop has an S&W semi-auto. Maybe when the fight started, he popped the magazine. The S&W has a magazine disconnect safety, and won't fire without a magazine in the well.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Tryin to take the weapon is a justifyable shoot here, I know what I would have done, but until the whole story is out I will not try to Monday morning Quarterback this one.

If it is the picture with the two cops from CA then I believe he did drop his mag on purpose...at least I remember reading that about that situation on another board.

If someone is trying to take your weapon, they are taking it for one reason. To murdrer you while you are in the lawful performance of your duty. At the very least, trying to take your weapon meets the elements for armed robbery, a felony. Some states even have specific statutes making it a felony to attempt to disarm a police officer.
