And thank you to the families who supported their valor and patriotism to the end and beyond. From a fellow combat vet, thanks to all who gave so I can have a wonderful life. Peace.

I have to say that it seems you in America honour your veterans and service personnel a lot better than we do in the UK. They seem to be all but forgotten by everyone except their families here.

As a former Marine, whenver I stop an old jarhead or a young jarhead I take the time to bullshit with them a bit, even if they were in the navy, army, oh yeah and the air force.

Thanx for this post, the link, and my especial thanks to all here who have rendered service to this great nation. May God's choicest blessings be with you, your families and more especially the families of those "loved and lost"-- those who "have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom."
And God Bless America."Nothing says guilty like a high-priced lawyer."

05-29-06, 08:55 PM #12I should mention that I have equally high regard at this point in time for those British forces who have been such outstanding allies to us in these dark times. I hold them very high esteem, and am grateful for their sacrifices on our behalf as well as for those of our own country. Australia has performed admirably as well.

God bless those that have lost their lives to protect others, and God Bless those and protect the ones that still are fighting for us...
