Help a brotha out
I've been working on a flash intro for my web site, and some crazy stuff keeps happening. Well, it's likely not that crazy, I just have no idea what I'm doing
Here is a link that should go to a flash intro, which ends with links to 3 pages of my site (under construction).
If you get the flash intro, there is sound - just to warn those of us who might be looking at this while working

While at home, I see the intro and everything works fine (on 2 computers). Here at work, for some reason, I see the old version of the page, which includes a few cheesy images and text. Could I get some feedback on what you guys see, so I can try to diagnose my problem? Thanks a million

I don't know anything about computers and diagnosing problems, but it worked fine when I clicked on it. Great music playing, etc. Maybe it's something on that computer? But then again, what do I know?

Seems to be ok from the UK anyway. Black screen, red wording and I got straight into each area? Is this what should be on screen?

I see a black background with flashing red text (the first choice). I have my speakers on mute so no comment on the sound. Might be your computer at work.

Everything looks good on this end, Virginian... sounds good, too! What's the name of the artist/song?

It's Trust Company, and Downfall is the name of the song.
Here are some clips of their songs. Good stuff

From my wife----
The intro takes too long to load the first time (almost 30 seconds), even w/ a high speed modem. After the first time, it is faster. When you click the links, we see a white box around your flash intro. On your "main site link" we see the under construction image loading onto the page.
Normally, the easiest way to fix the problem is to optimize your images and the flash movie. Also, too many layers can cause an issue in loading.
It is a very well put together intro.
---- back to me now... I hope this helps a little.

Thanks guys! The more feedback I get, the better I know how this thing will work for people. Guess I better do some reading on flash to start with

Thank your wife for me, 60259!

Thanks, Virginian. While I've never heard of this group, I do like them. I had the radio in my car programed, and someone (he knows who he is)
it up! Now, I can only get one station, and it plays only 80's music. I'm not complaining (I'm an 80's kinda gal). At least I have something to listen to when I'm out and about, but after a while it gets old. Now, my Ipod is a different story. I have 394 songs on it, and listen to it as often as I can, which isn't much, since I'm always studying, studying, and more studying (what I should be doing now). By the way, did I say I study? Oh, my gosh... I'm off topic! Forgive me, LT! Thanks, again, Virginian!

Uh, it took forever to load but when it did it didn't do anything and as I was closing the page I accidentaly clicked someplace and it scared the shit out of me, but it worked then.

I was thinking that you should dump the cookies on your work computer, but if others are having an issue it might be in the layering. You might want to try this; re-create the same page, then delete the original index, and name the newly created page index and have the others link to it. I bet this is the problem. Let me know how it works!! (It loaded fine for me)

Not a problem, Dynamic HTML as it is properly called or Layering is the use of alternate style sheets or other approaches to vary the content of a page by providing content layers that can overlay (and replace or superimpose on) existing content sections. Layers can be programmed to appear as part of a timed presentation or as the result of user interaction. In Internet Explorer 4.0, Microsoft implements layers through style sheets.
This is more indepth for anyone interested;

It worked for me, dude. But it took a while to load up and start; the screen was black for a while.
