My Poem for all Police Officers

    The Beat

Before I lay my head to sleep, I pray for all officers who walk the beat.

Some say, it’s just a job, while others say, it’s what I do, I know I am safe, by the men and women in blue.

They put their lives on the line, to keep us safe, and put an end to crime.

Theirs a cop walking the beat not knowing if it will be bitter or sweet.

Facing danger day and night, turning wrongs into rights, these are the heroes that I speak, the men and women who walk the beat.

An Officer who falls will be honored most of all.

They lay their lives down when duty calls.

Let us never forget the price that was paid as we go on day after day.

Their memories will always be sweet; another Brother Officer will walk your beat.

When a Officer is laid to Rest; we know they done their very best.

To the Police Officers who walk the beat, please be careful and always stay safe.

There is always someone praying for you, May the Lord Jesus Bless all the men and women in Blue, who walks the beat.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is for all the police officers from around the world. You are the true heroes!

Also I made this for Reca, it comes from the heart, sorry it took so long, I have a bad case of short term memory, because of health problems..

Please stay safe! My family and I send you all our love!

    Thank you.
Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.

Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.

May those that lost their lives in 9-11 RIP, for the things you did not many could do. You left so many behind so that you could save so few. For now we stand strong as one, and will not look back till the fight is done. (me)

Thank you for your appreciation. There's beginning to be fewer and fewer people like you in the world.

    The Man in blue.

The man in blue rides quietly through the night,
He assures the ones who are full of fright.
To some he is a messenger of tears and woe,
To others he brings with him tears of joy.
To some he brings safety and security,
To the others they believe it is harassment.
Some wonder why anyone would do such a job,
To the man in blue, it is sheer love.

Added comment........I never said I was a poet.......
