I Cry for an Angel

God has given us a special gift
But in doing so, it formed a rift.
Angels who died to make us free
Are what these "others" fail to see.

These Angels are strong and proud
Saving us from the enemy crowd,
But that's not the reason I mourn
It's because they are under scorn.

I cry for those who take the fall.
I cry for those who gave their all.
I cry for those who gave their life.
I cry for those who feel the strife.

I ask a simple, but painful why-

These angels are here to save us;
But why is it arranged so that
There is no one to rescue them
When they need us the most?
