Texas
Just got back from a trip to Texas, what a blast
Everyone else said the state was boring, but I thought it was pretty cool how different it is from Virginia. Went from seeing maybe a half mile in Virginia due to all the trees and the terrain to seeing for miles across open fields. We flew into Dallas, then on to Amarillo, then drove 2 hours north to Perryton. I'm ready to move!
And yeah, this is after reading 06Accord's scorpion story

They have tarantula's too.

Yeah I didn't get to see any of them, fortunately. Lots of scrawny horses and cowboy hats, and some kickass barbeque.

You have not had BBQ until you come to KC.
Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.
Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.
May those that lost their lives in 9-11 RIP, for the things you did not many could do. You left so many behind so that you could save so few. For now we stand strong as one, and will not look back till the fight is done. (me)

It's funny, being from NC originally I saw BBQ and assumed it would be chopped, vinegar, etc. It wasn't even pork! Pretty good though

06-19-06, 12:22 PM #9You should have told us that you were going to Texas. I live about 1 hour North of Perryton, I could have helped you out with a Ride Along. Oh well maybe next time!

Ah man, I probably drove right through your town! Didn't have much free time though, I was there for a wedding. I'll probably be back in the area though, might take you up on it!

I loved Texas. You should move Virginian... and change your name to Texan.

Yeah I was hoping for some weird animals, but no armadillos or anything showed up. Best I got to see was some kind of antelope looking things someone was raising. And a burro. The Quesadillas kicked ass out there though.

One more convert
Did you try some Tex-Mex while you were here? That's even better than the BBQ if you know where to go (usually the dumpiest places are the best)
Dallas fired 12 officers in the past few weeks, so there's 212 openings I guess (was 200 last I heard).Last edited by TXCharlie; 06-19-06 at 01:39 PM.
