F***ed up situation

an elderly man parks his car in the parking lot of his business. He gets out to go to work, and is quicky confronted by a stupid oiece of shit... the POS demands money, the man doesnt give it quickly enough, the POS stabs him in the lower-torso area, seriously wounding him... there is no video of the stabbing, the knife is not found... the man doesnt recall what the assailant looks like... what are the chances of the assailant being found? Yes I know there are a lot of variables, just give me whatever input you can. My grandfather, an extremely good person, just got stabbed in this kind of incident, and I want the man who did it.

Yeah, unless the suspect comes forward....chances are slim.

That is a rough situation. Sorry that your grandfather had to go through it. But...like the other guys have already said, unless the suspect comes forward or you have credible witnesses or your grandfather can remember something, there is no chance. Sucks, but that is how we live these days.

Where/when did this occur? Have there been any witnesses coming forward?

I see you are in Michigan. May be a coincidence but, there was a similar incident in Clinton Twp at a Kroger recently. The knife was recovered and it is possible that prints were taken from it. I haven't heard if there was video/witnesses.

I wish your grandfather well. Hopefully this shitbag will get greedy, fuck up and get arrested or even better, maybe he will try to rob someone like an off duty cop who is prepared to deal with him accordingly.

It happened last night. I guess there are a few witnesses, but I dont know how much they saw. It sounds like no-one got a really close look at him. I also learned that it was done with an icepick or thin screwdriver, which was not found as of yet.

Thanks for the support, it looks like my grandpa is going to be ok... I just hope this prick gets greedy and gets himself caught
