Pick on dispatch again
Just haven't seen posts from my dispatcher friends/family on here...where are you???
The other night a dispatcher decided she wanted to do a ride a long to see if she wanted to become a deputy full time....or maybe to be a reserve....I thought she was gonna have a heart attack when I ran "code" to a call...but she did give me a complement I guess...she said she had to decide weither or not to go to a club...or ride with me...she said I was more fun than a club, lol

Maybe she had the wrong idea, thinking it was a "ride" along.
There’s a promise I need you to make

And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

County, what would she say if you asked her if she was going on a ride along?
"Ride a long...ride a long what?"

They don't offer Ride-alongs to us.
I did 14 years as a 1st Responder working with our Troopers everyday before I came inside so I got to see a lot of what they have to deal with."The statements and opinions contained in this communication do not necessarily reflect the official position of the Commission regarding these issues."

I've never been disallowed, but it was the "fill in all info and then give a really, honestly vaild reason why you want to go, and curiosity isn't good enough" form. I think they were trying to limit it to potential officer canidates. You might want to check with CountyWolf though, I did two ride alongs with him a couple years ago and I don't know if his ears have recovered yet.
