Should We Have an LEF Gathering

I think now that we have over 1100 members we should have a gathering. Brad and Will should get together with an airline and some hotels in Hawaii and have a tax deduc. Gathering.

That does sounds like a great time. I'm with Virginian on being affordable. I would make every effort to go. I think the change to get together with all of you would be too good of a time to pass up!

It's amazing that a LEF would think you could get that many cops/ems/dispatchers/etc off at a time....what would the world do without us??? Also wondering who really gets to take time off anyway???
Good idea though, would love to be able to go, maybe if the rates were greatly discounted or something, lol.

We ought to create a frapper map for those who are geniunely interested in going, so we can find a centralized place to meet for everyone. If the vast majority of those interested are on the east coast, then vegas might not be practical.

We need to figure out where a good location for everyone to meet would be, we also need to discuss a date. I would prefer a date in late august, at the earliest, although we may have a better time planning for a date sometime next year. It would give us enough time to do the planning, get more people interested, and give everyone ample time to schedule time off to attend.

I've always wanted to go to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial during Memorial week, i've never been. Perhaps we might all make efforts to attend, and have a get together on the side somewhere.

Bring your uniforms if Dept. policy allows, we could all get dressed in uniform for a group picture too.
