Been to Boise, it's beautiful but Idaho is well known for white supremacists. Don't like those guys much. Been to Scottsdale, also quite pretty but too freakin' HOT! The only other one I'm familiar with is Fort Collins, lived there for three years and still have family there. Beautiful town with everything you'd ever want to enjoy life, but it's getting really crowded and freakin' expensive the last few years. I think the people who wrote that article are a day late because about five years ago, EVERYONE started moving there!
Never been to the other towns so I can't comment.

Cary, NC is a bunch of yuppy, granola eating hippies.

Howard County is not a bad place to live. Neither is Anne Arundel.
It is however, pretty pricy to live there.

Naperville's not too crowded - for a suburb of Chicago. Which means it's only twice as crowded and expensive as medium sized town anywhere else.

I'll stick with Alabamastan. You can live here on the cheap or live in a million dollar neighborhood. All within 30 min of each other. Cost of living is great. Only downside is working dayshift in this heat and high humidity.
Meanwhile, fishing in Russia:
"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it." -- Frederic Bastiat
"Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter." Ernest Hemingway

Last year we had a place on the list at 28. Wexford PA. Problem with Wexford is it doesnt really exist and thats why it wasnt in the top 100 this year. Its a post office name for 4 different towns, and 2 different school districts. The 4 towns are Franklin Park, McCandless, Pine twp. and Bradford Woods. there are 3 different police departments and each has their own government., That is a major problem with the Pittsburgh area. too many little kingdoms. Allegheny County has 130 different municipalities...
Its nice though and one can get a new 4 bed, 3bath house for about $250,000-$300...A monday morning lunatic, disturbed from time to time. Temporary catatonic madman on occasion..
Lightning crashes a new mother cries, her placenta falls to the floor. The angel opens her eyes, the confusion sets in before the doctor can even close the door..
The views and comments of E-man are mine and mine alone and therefore might not reflect the views of others or people in my current department. As such since this is still America I can post what I want without fear of retribution. I think.
