National Night Out is an annual event were the "good citizens" take back the neighborhoods from the "bad citizens".........block parties, cookouts, etc.

We normally have it here, but our explorer post used to get it organized and figured out, but ya wasn't around this year to get the wheels rolling so our city didn't have anything, sad. It's a good event.

It's too damn hot here - I think it was 95 degrees at 9pm last night.
But some HOA's make a big production out of it, and drag a few cops and fire trucks in on it for show & tell. I'm not too sure how much they enjoy that
