Are you a night person or day person?
The "sleepless" thread, and the poll about who was logged on at 4 am, got me thinking about this: How many folks here are night people (preferring to work/play at night and sleep during the day) and how many are day people (preferring to work/play during the day and sleep at night)?
Day is defined as 8 am to 5 pm, night is defined as 8 pm to 5 am. If you like being awake during part of both night and day, pick the option with the most hours during which you like being awake.Last edited by Jenna; 08-03-06 at 10:54 AM.

Day interrupts my naptime.
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

I guess I'm a mix of both. I'm at my best early in the morning, I wind down to about 9pm, then I'm ready to go again. I worked all shift relief for so long, that specific hours don't bother me much.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

In the morning I'm a night person and at night, I'm a morning person

I am happily awake and functioning during the day about as often as a typical morning person has insomnia. Left on my own with no schedule to follow, I typically fall asleep between 0500 and 0530 and wake up about 1330 or so.

I am a day person, now, but will probably be a night person when I retire and start all over at another police department next year. Actually, I like nights better, especially in the summer.

Definitely a night person. I hate mornings and the early shifts kill me!

Absolutely nights, the worst part of a night shift is when the sun comes up. Makes me sweepy.
