Anyone else getting crazy flooding?
I just drove through this stuff. Apologize for the low rent cell phone pics. Motion pictures at night are no bueno.

You call that flooding? You just said you DROVE through it. That's not flooding. You should've visited me in South Texas or Florida for that matter... when the SO has to use a boat to get people from their houses.
Oh wait... poor 121. When I said cry my a river... I was joking.
Are you feelings hurt because I've been mean to you all day.

I live on a hill, if it floods here I'll let all of you know cause its ark building time.
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

El Paso, Texas, of all places, had to evacuate last week because they got so much rain (15 inches!!!) that the dam was in danger of breaking.
Yet north of Dallas where I am, Lake Lewisville is 10 feet below normal!

that isnt all that bad... lol
it gets like that here in an afternoon thunderstorm... pretty much to the bottom of the door or car .. 1/2 way up the tires... then some places we have to close off the intersections till it passes because the quick floods do go up half the cars quickly...
HAHAHAH i just remembered... I had a call of 3 cars stuck in what they said was 'dangerous' standing water after one of our storms.... i get there and they are on their hoods and roofs with the cars half under water... but the water is standing water and going down... i just about died laughing when one woman threw herself off her car and started to try to swim... flailed around and then stood up... AHAHAHAHHAH omg... i almost wet my pants
she walked over to my patrol car and asked me why I didnt go save her...
anyway... I called her a tow truck
oh i wish i had a video of that.http://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Riding out the flood
From your pictures it looks like you were in my neck of the woods... It seems like we've had a couple of god awful rain storms in the past week. If those pictures are from the storm I'm thinking of, I was assisting with traffic on an injury accident during it... Looked like a drowned rat afterwards. 48th and Colorado had well over a foot of standing water (how might I know this? I was standing in it!)
