The eyes....
so... how many of you have done Lasik?
I am going to have it done on saturday and i am excited and scared to death
the idea of not having my glasses is so awsome... and i can do the librarian thing as a game now is very exciting LOL
however, i am really worried about the whole cutting my eye to make a flap so some lazer and zap away at my cornea.... lol
but i want to see... it is so frustrating breaking my glasses all the time at work fighting bad guys and insurance only covers one pair
oh give me confidence lol

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

My ex mother in law had it done, she went from being legally blind (literally couldn't see much beyond the end of her nose) to needing only a very small correction with glasses. She hesitated for years about getting it done, she was worried about scarring, etc, has been beyond thrilled with the results. Most people don't need any correction at all afterwards, and I haven't really heard anything negative about the procedure. Everyone I've talked to about it has given nothing but glowing reviews.

One of my night guys had the surgery on both eyes about 3 weeks ago. He asked me for 1 day off and I expected to have to cover his shift for a few days at least. He came in the next day and told me that he was ready for work. He said that it was the best money he had ever spent. I would just research the doctor you plan on doing it. Good luck.

I had it done 4 years ago and its the best decision I've ever made. In fact I wish I'd done it years ago. Good Luck!

I had a co-worker in my place get it done a couple of months ago. Needless to say she praises the descision for all she's worth. Like Ducky's ex mom-in-law she couldn't see much beyond her nose without things getting blurry. Now not only can she see better but she also thinks that her appearance is improved. (Well she's honestly always been a looker but Hey, if she feels good about it then...lol)

I had it done 3 years ago and I can't say enough good things about it. Fantastic. I don't even remember what it was like having glasses or contacts. Only thing that has stuck with me is when I scratch my eye, I poke my finger up under imaginary glasses

Glad everything went well for you! I also found it best to sleep through the discomfort period. I couldn't stop my eyes streaming tears, like when you peel onions but it didnt last longer than a day. It's definitely worth it tho.

Did you get to wear the awesome goggles to bed?
Now that sucked. I woke up with them around my mouth area several times. Apparently I do gymnastics while I'm asleep. That, or my wife beats me severely.
