Southern Family Reunions
Ok, now that I've gotten your attention with THAT as a topic ....
Guys, Ducky and I have to go to a Family Reunion this weekend. Its Duckys side of the family and I have to admit that I'm looking at this with a little hesitation. The last family reunion I went to was with my Ex-wife and I remember being there only for about ten minutes, I was just going over to the buffet table, when I got a Scathing "talk to" from an elderly lady for about 20 minutes who thought I was crashing the reunion. She never asked me if I was a member of the "family" nor did she ask if I had been invited to it. Finally I was saved by my Ex when she came over and told her Great Aunt that I was her husband and that I belonged there. Maybe it was just that my Ex's family was a little looney or maybe it was the fact that I chose to wear a Metallica T-shirt that day I don't know... LOL!!
Either way, I hope I make a good Impression this weekend....
And NO guys, I'm NOT going looking for a new wife!!!

You married into the nutty family so live with it .Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.
Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.
May those that lost their lives in 9-11 RIP, for the things you did not many could do. You left so many behind so that you could save so few. For now we stand strong as one, and will not look back till the fight is done. (me)

Plus, I've already attended a funeral on Mr Ducky's side of the family. That counts as a family reunion in Alabama.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
Found blackberry riots and
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion
